No, wood-burning stoves are not being phased out. However, there is new country-wide legislation that will enforce requirements. To help reduce harmful Co2 Emissions, all log burners sold on Fires2U are EcoDesign models.
Your woodburner must also have been manufactured before the 1st of January 2022. If you meet one of these two requirements, you can continue to purchase and use your multifuel stove for years to come.
Will I still be able to use my log burner after 2022?
Yes! Log burners are still legal and available to purchase. However, new 2022 legislation has aimed to improve the ecological nature of wood-burning stoves.
